Bio
Dai Michishita moved to the United States in 2000 and began his career in New York. He trained under Luigi Murenu and went independent in 2004. Represented by New York agencies including Management Artist Organization and Jed Root, his work spans leading titles such as American Vogue, German Vogue, ELLE and Italian Marie Claire, alongside campaigns for Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale's, earning the trust of era-defining photographers including Arthur Elgort and Raymond Meier. Since returning to Japan in 2015, he has worked freely across the spectrum — VOGUE, ELLE, Marie Claire, SPUR, VERY, éclat — from the edge of fashion to titles closer to everyday life. Represented by Beauty Direction since 2026. His natural hair — dimensional, with a contemporary edge — has earned wide support from creators and actors alike.
